By visiting schools and delivering workshops and assemblies, the programme aims to dispel myths and encourage thought and discussion around how to be more welcoming to people from outside of the UK. The interactive, engaging workshops can be tailored to an individual school’s needs and to a range of ages. From our initial outreach, we have had excellent feedback and hope to move into the new school year working with as many schools as possible, to create a more welcoming environment for all.
We also have resources that will help make schools more welcoming for students arriving from other countries, including UK School system guides for students and parents in home languages, school signage and fundraising packs.
