We are thrilled to share that Migrant Help is expanding our Refugee Resettlement support services across Watford. This is following the contract award as part of a framework agreement covering Hertfordshire. This arrangement permits local authorities within the wider authority to commission Migrant Help to deliver resettlement services on their behalf, and we are delighted to be mobilising a new service supporting Watford Borough Council.

During this four year contract, we will be supporting forty-five clients who are already living in the area and have arrived through one of the various resettlement pathways (Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP), Afghan citizens resettlement scheme (ACRS), or the UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS)), as well as new families who will be joining the scheme.

Migrant Help has been delivering resettlement services in Kent for eight years and has established an excellent model of support that ensures clients receive intensive integration assistance throughout their time with us. This includes access to GPs, schools, education and employment opportunities. The resettlement service also ensures that once a client comes towards the end of their support period (usually after three years), they have been provided with the skills and resources to live independently within their communities.

We will use the experience and knowledge to assist our new clients in Watford whilst ensuring the support they receive is tailored to their individual needs.

We are currently in the process of recruiting a new team who will deliver this contract and will be going live from the start of November.
