Negative asylum decision

My asylum case has been refused

Expand

If your asylum claim has been refused, you need to seek legal advice regarding your options for appealing the decision and/or next steps regarding your asylum application. If you have a legal representative, you must contact them straight away.

If you do not have a legal representative, you can find more information on legal advice here:  https://www.migranthelpuk.org/Pages/FAQs/Category/legal

Why is my asylum support ending?

Expand

If you receive a negative asylum decision and do not appeal, in most instances your asylum support will end.  You have 21 days from notification of your asylum decision to move on from Home Office support. Your accommodation provider will give you a minimum of seven days’ notice in a ‘notice to quit’ before your asylum accommodation will end. This notice might be provided verbally, or in writing.
