Time commitment: Around 10 hours per week, for at
least 6 months

We are currently looking for a Research Volunteer to join our vibrant and committed Migrant Help team.

The successful candidate will support the Research Manager with identifying and collating information relevant to our on-going projects. You will ultimately be contributing to the creation of tools that will enable your colleagues to provide better practical support to clients.

As a Research Volunteer your duties would include:

  • Volunteering at agreed times remotely or in pre-agreed locations.
  • Being open to new learning opportunities and ways of volunteering.
  • Closely communicating with the Research Manager and have regular meetings enabling you both to be kept up to date.
  • Helping to research a range of topics from:
    • identifying support opportunities for clients locally and/or nationally
    • completing research to support funding applications and/or funding opportunities
    • sector updates for a weekly report
    • ad hoc research to support projects
    • maintaining a contacts’ database
  • Updating spreadsheets and creating reports.
  • Contacting the services identified to confirm that their details are correct, and the spreadsheet is accurate.
