Caroline O’Connor, CEO of Migrant Help, said:

As a charity that has supported displaced people for 60 years, we have been closely following the Supreme Court hearings on the government’s plan to relocate people seeking asylum to Rwanda. The plan would have directly affected a significant proportion of our clients.

We therefore appreciate the Supreme Court decision to uphold the verdict given in June by the Court of Appeal. With our 60 years of experience in working with people seeking asylum and refugees, we are keen to share our knowledge with the government, and the new Home Secretary, to help shape humane and workable policies, going forward.

Everyone deserves to be safe, protected and equal, and we will continue to support, and champion displaced people who come to our country seeking safety.
