All at Migrant Help are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Elizabeth II. For more than seven decades, Her Majesty has been a constant figurehead for the country and people around the world, particularly in the Commonwealth. She has been recognised for her dignity, kind heart and wisdom.

From the beginning of her public life, she has always shown great care for those in need, wherever they were from. Her concern for people fleeing war and violence at home reflected the sympathies of most of her subjects here in the United Kingdom. This was demonstrated throughout her reign: from her first ever speech in 1940, which focused on child migrants, to her recent generous and rare donation to Ukrainian refugees.

We are sending our sincerest condolences to the Royal Family for their loss. May Her Majesty’s service to this nation be a legacy that lasts forever.
