This week marks National Inclusion Week, an important date in all our calendars where we raise awareness and open up the conversation about inclusion to ensure accessibility for all.

Migrant Help are proud to share, promote and inspire inclusion practices and culture across the workplace to create a better environment for all with Recite Me accessibility and language tools available on our website.

The theme for National Inclusion Week 2022 is ‘Time to Act: The Power of Now’ as we progress our unity created in previous years and turn it into action.

To support everyone online, we provide Recite Me accessibility software across our digital landscape, this is to support those with disabilities, learning difficulties, visual impairments, or people who speak English as a second language.

Together with Recite Me we are on a mission to create an inclusive digital world, providing barrier-free access to online information and services. We have seen over 2.2 million people using the toolbar, viewing over 12 million pages in a way that best suits their individual needs.

Migrant Help's values include diversity - ensuring inclusion is at the heart of our work; and equality - fairness and equality of opportunity. It is so important that these values are at the forefront of how we communicate with the often already-marginalised people that we work with, and also that we apply them within the organisation, with our colleagues.

When visiting our website people are able to use our suite of accessibility tools to create a unique user experience. These tools include text-to-speech functionality, fully customisable styling features, reading aids, and a translation tool with over 100 languages, including 35 text-to-speech voices and many other features.

Together we can build an inclusive online world. This starts by creating awareness on an individual or organisational level, and helping others to understand the opportunities presented by inclusion, we can all make a positive difference.

If there are any more adjustments to our website that we could make to ensure an even more inclusive experience for you, please do let the Comms team know at [email protected]
