Migrant Help celebrates major win at prestigious national Third Sector Awards Caroline O’Connor awarded Charity Chief Executive of the Year for her leadership and transformative impact on the organisation Ruby Cooke makes a finalist for the Rising Star award, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to supporting Migrant Help’s clients Awards announced at a celebratory luncheon at The Royal Lancaster, London, on 20 September 2024 Migrant Help is delighted to announce that Caroline O’Connor has been honoured with the Charity Chief Executive of the Year award at the national Third Sector Awards. The event at The Royal Lancaster in London brought together individuals and organisations across the charity sector to recognise outstanding achievements in supporting displaced and vulnerable communities. Caroline O’Connor, Chief Executive of Migrant Help, was recognised for her exceptional leadership. Caroline joined the organisation in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer and took on the CEO role in 2020. Under her guidance, Migrant Help has expanded its services, increased its funding from £9m to £43m, and implemented its first co-designed strategy with clients. Her commitment to transparency and staff development has set a new sector leadership benchmark. Caroline commented: I am honoured to receive this award, which is a recognition of the dedication and hard work of our entire team including our lived experience advisory panels. I am proud of what we have achieved together in supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Although she didn’t take home the Rising Star award, Ruby Cooke was a proud finalist for her remarkable contributions.
