EU Settlement Scheme Advice and Guidance

Migrant Help continues to provide advice and support with the applications to the EU Settlement Scheme.

The deadline for most people to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme was 30 June 2021.

If you or your family are from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein, you can still apply if you or a family member were living in the UK by 31 December 2020. You must also either:

  • meet one of the criteria for a later deadline to apply
  • have ‘reasonable grounds’ for not applying by 30 June 2021

You can also apply if you already have pre-settled status and you’re applying for settled status.

Do I qualify for support?

Our service is available to Gypsy/traveller and Roma communities and vulnerable people, including those who are:

  • homeless
  • elderly
  • suffering with disabilities/serious health conditions
  • victims of domestic abuse
  • victims of modern slavery and human trafficking
  • adults who have left care

How can I receive support?

Migrant Help offers this service in Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Birmingham (West Midlands), Stoke-on-Trent, Leicester, Coventry, Liverpool and Lancashire. Please contact either of the below members of staff for support:

My hope is that at a minimum people can live without fear and survive. Not having to look over their shoulder because somebody’s after them. Having a place to sleep, food and clothing.
