We are delighted to announce that Migrant Help has been successful in its bid to the Scottish Government Victim Centred Approach Fund. This confirmation of funding means we will be able to continue delivering high quality specialist support services to victims of human trafficking across Scotland for another three years.

Our bid proposal included an increase in operational costs in line with the growth we’ve seen over the last three years; we will be able to expand our reach to meet the needs of the increasing number of clients that are being referred to us. We also included new areas of development and innovation so that we can improve and enhance our provision in line with our strategic objectives. Frontline staff were asked for their expertise in proposing ideas for the development of the service which were included in the bid, and we are incredibly happy with this opportunity to build on our core support delivery and provide more holistic support for our clients.

The sum confirmed to be allocated to Migrant Help from the fund will cover the three years of the contract with scope for additional funding in years two and three. Any future increases will be dependent on our effective delivery against the aims and outcomes of the contract and subject to future spending reviews by the Government. The award is a recognition of the increasing volumes we are now supporting and but also a show of trust and support in the work that we’re doing.
