You can bring happiness into the lives of children who find themselves in situations that no child should ever have to face.

The children and young people that we meet have been through unimaginable hardship. They may have been affected by slavery or been forced to leave their homes due to war or persecution. Their young lives have been interrupted and changed forever.

We are determined to do all we can to help them settle into their new lives and enable them to just be children. Your support could provide essential tools for learning, give them the opportunity to have new experiences or provide them with what they need to feel more safe and secure.

For a child who has fled war, warm clothes could provide their first sense of safety in months. For a child who has faced a long and dangerous journey after being forced to leave their home, sleeping in their own bed could offer them a sense of security. For children who have experienced slavery, the opportunity to play returns their sense of freedom.

Every contribution can make a real difference and help children and young people on their journey to rebuilding their life and recovering from trauma.

This fund was set up in February 2020 in memory of a much-loved colleague, Neil Wildman. Neil was a compassionate man – he looked and found the good in everyone. He believed it was important to help others and support those who lost or had nothing.
