Starting salary: £21,750 per annum
After 3 months' probation: £23,250 per annum
After 6 months' probation: £26,476 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an Outreach Adviser within our regional Cardiff Office as a permanent position.

The role:

The scope of this role is to provide support through the Outreach Team and to contribute to the overall success of our Organisation in accordance with Home Office standards and Migrant Helps visions, values and objectives and compliance. The Outreach Adviser will need to be committed to providing a high standard of client and service care. This commitment will be demonstrated by meeting overall quality standards and, where possible, exceeding those in line with Government and other Stakeholder contracted arrangements. The post holder will need to report any observations or trends to their Line Manager whilst also, ensuring continuous development of the role and guarantee the service is delivered according to procedures and processes which are accurate, professional and consistent at all times.

The requirements: 

The successful candidate will work with the Outreach Team to provide outreach for vulnerable clients and those with additional support needs, by appointment, at designated locations, as required by the Outreach Manager. In addition, through the Outreach Manager, the successful candidate will be required to liaise with the other AIRE services to ensure that client and service requirements are met
on a day-to-day basis. The post holder will be required to act as a contact with the Home Office, Social Services, Healthcare Professionals and other relevant agencies for applicants with additional support needs. The successful candidate will be required to effectively deliver key touch point briefings to a high standard, so applicants fully understand the information provided. As Outreach Adviser you would need to contact dispersal accommodation providers and other relevant agencies by providing letters as appropriate, to ensure vulnerable clients are appropriately supported in their dispersal area. The successful candidate would need to keep full accurate and up-to-date case records, complete a case follow up within requisite time scales and undertake any necessary administrative tasks.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and a Counter-Terrorism Check (CTC). The successful candidate with the support of the Outreach Manager will be expected to take responsibility for their personal development (CPD) and identification of training needs through participation on Migrant Help Professional Development Review (SAA) programme. The post-holder requires flexibility to work unsocial hours by prior arrangement and travel in the UK as required.
