3 months’ probation: £22,800
6 months’ probation: £25,830

An additional London Weighting Allowance of £2,490 per annum will be paid

We are currently recruiting for a client adviser within our Thornton Heath office for a permanent contract. The vacancy is open to internal and external candidates.

The role:
To work as part of the asylum advice team providing advice, guidance and assistance to complete support applications and briefings to eligible asylum seekers. To contribute to the overall success of the organisation in accordance with Migrant Help's aims and objectives, by providing high quality service to clients.

The requirements:
To provide advice and support to asylum seekers, within the specification of the grant agreement and contract with the Home Office and to complete the necessary asylum support application forms (ASF1). Act as a point of contact with the Home Office, social services, healthcare professionals and other relevant agencies for applicants with additional support needs.

Duties will include regular work from outreach locations around the London area. The successful candidate will also be required to make contact with dispersal accommodation providers and other relevant agencies, providing letters as appropriate, to ensure vulnerable clients are appropriately supported in their dispersal area.

Attention to detail is key when keeping case records up to date within the requisite timescales and undertake any necessary administrative duties. The successful candidate will also need to undertake any other duties which may be assigned from time to time and may include cover for other funded projects e.g. supporting victims of human trafficking.

The post requires OISC Level 1 competence (or a willingness to achieve it) and is subject to a DBS check
and a Counter Terrorism check.
