Submissions Manager - Dover (Hybrid) Location: Dover (Hybrid) Contract: 12 month fixed term Salary: £40,563 Closing Date: 12 September 2024 Please note that the applications will close at 12pm We are currently looking for a Manager to join our dedicated and compassionate Submissions team, on a 12-month fixed term contract. There is potential for this to be extended or made permanent.The successful candidate will have proven experience of supporting, developing and leading a team and be passionate about protecting our vulnerable clients.As the Submissions Manager you will operationally lead the Submissions team together with, and directly managing and coaching, the Submissions Team Leaders. The role of the function, and the Submissions Manager, is to ensure contract and statutory compliance on behalf of the organisation for all applications and documentation submitted to the Home Office. To support this the Submissions Manager is responsible for ensuring that quality standards and KPIS are met and, where possible, exceeded.If you are able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders with excellent leaderships skills and are looking for an exciting role that makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you! As the Submissions Manager your duties would include: Lead the Submissions team with responsibility for planning staff deployment, delegating work appropriately and ensuring delivery of service (includes planning cover and ad hoc absence i.e. leave and sickness) Ownership of KPIs related to section 4 support applications and change of circumstance requests, ensuring data integrity of the reporting (including commentary on corrective action) Work with other operational KPI owners on any KPIs that involve submission of documentation and evidence to the Home Office To manage, develop and coach the Submissions Team Leaders Carry out required quality control of work. e.g. file reviews, to ensure compliance with standards of OISC and the advice quality standards Ensure all staff development requirements are met within agreed time scales, through the Staff Supervision and Appraisal (SAA) Effectively oversee employee relations within the team and work to minimise any situations that could result in employee conduct or capability issues Conduct regular team meetings to ensure that the team is kept up to date with changes in policy and law that effect the delivery of service Attend meetings within Submissions’ area of responsibility Liaise closely with EAGL, Regions, Outreach and Move On teams to ensure a streamlined service, with additional support for clients when identified Deal with any complaints about the service or critical incidents in accordance with the relevant procedures Ensure that any post received to AIRE is processed in a timely manner (through whichever channel it arrives) The experience and skills you need: Proven leadership skills – preferably in a the Third/Charitable Sector Ability to work accurately and systematically, demonstrating attention to detail Excellent ability to communicate with diverse groups Excellent self-organisational skills with an attention to detail and pro-active approach A positive and flexible approach attitude to team working What else to expect: This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and a Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) This role is a hybrid working role and therefore you will be required to attend our Dover office on an agreed basis This role has a weekend working requirement where you will be expected to work 1 out of 12 weekends on a rota basis About Migrant Help: Migrant Help is a leading charity that has been established for over 50 years and delivers a range of support and advice services to migrants across the UK.
