We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join our team on a Fixed Term Maternity Cover Contract until July 2022.


The Role

The scope of this role is to contribute to the overall success of our Organisation in accordance with Migrant Help’s vision, values, and objectives.

The post-holder will be working with the Finance Team to maintain accurate and appropriate financial records, as part of our requirements on funded contracts or grants. They will contribute to the teams and organisation’s strategic and charitable objectives.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, analysis, and commentaries.
  • Provide information to aid in management decision making through accurate and relevant reporting and analysis.
  • Represent the team and organisation at scheduled meetings with key partners and stakeholders
  • Provide specialist support to the bid team
  • Analyse budget and financial performance information, providing solution focused advise, adding value through innovation
  • Continually provide insight to management on any arising financial issues and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Implement and monitor controls for effectiveness
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, VAT returns, payroll and filing information
  • Cover absence for the Head of Finance, as required

Therefore the applicant must:

  • Be able to provide documents to show their right to work in the UK ie valid passport or other right to work documents such as work visa, settled status document, certificate of registration, naturalization as a British citizen, Biometric Residence Permit etc. 
  • Be able to provide continuous UK address history for the previous 5 years.
  • Provide full employment history for the previous 3 years and/or suitable documentation to cover any gaps in employment
