Your vote can help us support Sheffield’s new centre for refugees, The Sanctuary, in a bid to be awarded funding of nearly £50,000.

The Sanctuary is through to the final round of the Peoples Projects, a linkup between the Big Lottery and ITV regions, and is in with a chance of winning funding that will allow them to develop their services for asylum seekers and refugees in Sheffield.

Migrant Help’s Wakefield team runs fortnightly outreach services in Sheffield using the new facilities at The Sanctuary. The team provides a popular face to face service to clients as an enhancement to our free helpline service.

Aimeclaude Ndongozi, Regional Operations Manager at Migrant Help, said, “City of Sanctuary has been excellent in their work with asylum seekers in Sheffield, albeit with limited resources. They are now at the forefront of a new centre for refugees and are raising money to support its work.”

To join us in supporting the fundraising effort you can vote for The Sanctuary by clicking this link and following the instructions to vote, then check your inbox (and spam) for a confirmation email.
