Stories and events Events Refugee Week Refugee Week takes place every year in the week around World Refugee Day on 20 June. This year it will be between 18 and 24 June. It celebrates the contributions of refugees and promotes better understanding between communities. The celebrations include arts, music, exhibitions and educational events. Migrant Help organises events every year in all our locations. We also support and take part in events organised by other organisations with the aim to raise awareness of migration issues in a friendly, easily accessible way. Most of our clients are asylum seekers, awaiting the outcome of their claims, and these events are a great opportunity to leave the daily worries behind and share joy with others in their communities. This year, Refugee Week celebrates 20 year anniversary. This milestone will be the theme of Refugee Week 2018. We will keep you informed about Migrant Help’s events as they develop. Look at the Refugee Week website for inspiration on how you can get involved.
