We are currently looking for a Head of Commercial to join our team on a 12 Months Fixed-Term contract.

The Role:

This role will manage contract creation, execution, and analysis for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk. It will manage contracts with key stakeholders, customers, vendors, and partners.

This role oversees contract procurement to include negotiation, support and manage effective contracts in line with budget constraints. You will negotiate the terms and conditions in contracts, ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions, as well as documenting and agreeing on any change amendments during implementation or execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contract/Procurement Management – Managing the contract once it has been awarded to the business, actioning change requests and the delivery of the contract.
  • Business Cases - Drafting the business case with input from managers and specialists.
  • ​Communication & Stakeholder Management - Develop and maintain communications with project managers and other stakeholders, building effective and collaborative relationships.
  • Resource Management - Identify resources to ensure required capacity and capability for successful programme delivery. Undertakes planning, scheduling, and estimating
  • Risks & Issues - Manage risks and issues, including those that are strategic and politically sensitive, ensuring regular reporting and escalation as appropriate.
  • ​Programme Performance & Control - Plan and design the programme and proactively monitor and report on its overall progress through the governance framework.
  • Leadership Vision & Objectives - Deliver stated objectives. Support the programme to deliver the business case benefits and outcomes.
  • Dependency Management - Map programme dependencies and identify owners, build dependency management into the programme's governance cycle.
  • Development and support of the operational staff who manage contractual relationships providing as a mentor or coach'
  • Other Duties and Qualities:
  • An awareness of Commercial & Procurement skills, requirements management, scheduling, budgeting & cost management, quality management, business change & implementation, frameworks & methodologies, assurance, change control, business case development and asset allocation.
  • A working knowledge of planning, resource management, risk & issue management, governance and stakeholder engagement.
