Catherine Johnstone has joined Migrant Help UK as Interim CEO, a role she has held in a number of other charities.
Her last permanent position was with Samaritans, which she left in August 2015 after six and a half years as their CEO.
Catherine has been a CEO for 23 years, primarily in the charity sector, since leaving the NHS where she was a nurse specialising in critical care. She has also spent some time working closely with Government and as CEO of a National Funding Agency.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with Migrant Help UK, which changes lives for some of the most vulnerable people in our society,” she said.
“In all my roles I have been privileged to represent my organisations to various Governments and key stakeholders and I have always tried to establish a strong and vibrant voice for the beneficiaries of the organisations I’ve led.”
