Creating partnerships to benefit Migrant Help UK’s clients

posted : 29th November 2016

As a charity Migrant Help UK always looks for ways of addressing our clients’ needs the best we can and we often do that through partnerships with other organisations.

Recently we developed a working partnership with The Lily Trust, a charity that can provide essential and practical items to support survivors of modern day slavery and human trafficking. In particular, Migrant Help UK has been supported by The Lily Trust to ensure that vulnerable pregnant women in our care have access to pushchairs, Moses baskets and cots. In addition, The Lily Trust provided clothing to our clients’ children to ensure they are warm for winter.

One of Migrant Help UK’s caseworkers commented on her client’s experience (names changed for anonymity): “Lucia was very pleased with the pushchair which her daughter Franceska really enjoys using. She was also very happy with the clothing The Lily Trust included in the pack, such as shampoos, shower gels, toothpaste and everything she asked for. She said that, as her financial situation is very difficult, she feels very lucky that she had an opportunity to receive such a generous donation by The Lily Trust.”

Further information about the support and services The Lily Trust offers can be found here.
