Migrant Help UK was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Kevin Hyland, the UK Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, for its work in supporting victims of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Migrant Help UK is one of the organisations sub-contracted by The Salvation Army to assist victims in England. We also provide this service in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Our charity provides temporary safe accommodation, financial support, access to medical assistance and legal help, interpretation, referrals to counselling, practical support, help with reintegration into the community (access to ESOL classes, integration networks), donations of food and clothes. We assist clients with their practical and emotional needs, whether it is to make an appointment to see the GP or offer a shoulder to cry on.

We aim to create a safe place for the clients to enable them to talk, share and process their experience without fear of being judged.

You can find more information about this abhorrent crime and our work on www.backtolife.org.uk.
