I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with Migrant Help UK, which changes lives for some of the most vulnerable people in our society. I joined the charity in March 2016 as interim CEO, a role that I have held in a number of other charities. My last permanent position was with Samaritans, which I left in August 2015 after six and a half years as their CEO.
Since leaving the NHS where I was a nurse specialising in critical care, I have been a CEO for 23 years, primarily in the charity sector. I have also spent some time working closely with Government and as CEO of a National Funding Agency. In all my roles I have been privileged to represent my organisations to various Governments and key stakeholders and I have always tried to establish a strong and vibrant voice for the beneficiaries of the organisations I’ve led.
