We are currently recruiting for an IT Apprentice based within our Dover office, supporting our national operations.

The Role:
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to contribute to the overall success of Migrant Help’s aims and objectives. The post holder will support and assist the IT Manager and will also provide excellent support the staff with resolving any technical IT issues, as directed by the IT Manager and by using their own initiative.

The Requirements:
Prioritise all helpdesk requests in line with guidance from the IT Manager, monitoring incoming requests on a daily basis. All issues that are progressed must be met in line with targets and all internal customers must be informed of the progress of their requests. The candidate will provide general support and maintenance of the IT equipment and network, assistance in the management of the software systems, Dover site access control system and website content. The post holder will be expected to take responsibility for observing and complying with the Organisation’s Health and Safety Policy.

The successful candidate will be trained on the methods of how to fulfil the duties of the IT Apprenticeship role, how to manage and prioritise tasks/workloads and how to meet service standards and turnaround times. The post holder will be supported to work towards a Level 2 IT apprenticeship with support from an external training provider.

This post requires a DBS check.
